PenPal.lk is a place to meet pen pals in Sri Lanka through slower, more thoughtful conversations. Share the little stories of your world, discover different perspectives and get to know someone one letter at a time.
You can write in the languages you are comfortable with and choose interests to help introduce yourself. A pen name and an avatar can be used instead of a real full name or photo.
From hello to friendship
- Find a pen pal. Browse Discover, explore profiles and send a connection request. You can exchange letters after the request is accepted.
- Write a letter. Share a little of your day, ask a thoughtful question or begin with a simple hello. Save an unfinished letter as a draft.
- Look forward to a reply. Letters normally become readable four hours after sending. Technical interruptions may cause delays. The illustrated journey is not live location tracking. A reply or friendship is never guaranteed.
Create an account with Google or email, then complete your profile. Email signups need email verification. Members must be at least 18 years old.
Community guidelines
- Be kind and respectful of different languages, religions and backgrounds. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate or discriminate against others.
- No scams, spam, exploitation, prohibited sexual or violent content, or attempts to bypass security.
- Do not solicit money, meetings or external contact details.
- Share only content you have permission to use. Do not publish another person's letters or personal information without permission.
- Use Block, Report or Support if something concerns you. Read the consent explanation before sharing a private letter for review.
Community content may be checked by automated safety tools and administrators. If you believe a moderation decision is wrong, contact Support. PenPal.lk is not an emergency service. Read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for the full details.
Delete your account
Sign in and open Settings to find the account deletion controls. Read the explanation, complete the required verification and explicitly confirm deletion. Opening this information page does not delete anything.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Settings also includes a data export option if you want to keep a copy first. Provider backups and security logs may remain until their retention periods expire, and copies saved by other members cannot be recalled.
If you cannot sign in or need help, contact Support. Never send your password or a one-time verification code.
